The Biggest Teddy Bear in the World
There are gigantic teddy bears and there are gigantic teddy bears. On the 28th of April, 2019 inhabitants from the Mexican town of Xonacatlan joined the Guinness Book of World Records Over three months, they had been working together to design the biggest teddy bear in the world. In order to create the gigantic teddy similar materials were used as for the production of stuffed animals sold in stores. The result was an 19.41 millimeters long, teddy bear bearing the name of Xonita and an approximate quantity of 451.48 m3. This massive teddy is currently the largest teddy bear in the world that is also the largest animal stuffed in the world by default.
The World’s Largest Sock Monkey
Sock monkeys are created from socks, and are often constructed in the form of the monkey. They are extremely popular folk art toys, and are often , they are handmade. Typically, they’re the size of a mid-sized toy. But have you ever considered what could happen if you created one of 66 long socks? Jody Lewis who hails from Bridgwater, United Kingdom, did just that!
Lewis worked for a whole week cutting up socks and sewn them up. After a lot of effort, she finished her work, setting records for the creation of the worlds’ largest sock monkey! Inflated with 15kg of hollowfibre, her huge stuffed monkey came to life in February of 2015.
“I’ve got a big list of things that I want to do in life and breaking a world record was one of them,” Lewis spoke to at the World Record Academy. That, she certainly did! Lewis‘ monkey is currently holding the world record for being the biggest sock monkey in the world. It is 3.19 Meters tall. And weighs 16 kilograms.
